Peter Weirの作品のコンシステントは作法なのか何なのかその群を辿って確かめようと気負った。人間そのものの中心から漂う香りのようなものであり、その人らしさに他ならないというところで手繰ることをやめた。そしてそもそも彼のコンシステントを追いかけているわけではないと知る。
物語をこうした成立の源の香りのままに語るには、足元の生活の中を探る以外にないなと。生活にイメージが溢れる手法を手に入れるということは、偶然にもそうした契機に触れるか触れないかによる。そしてできればリアル（本物）のイメージでないと嘘くさい香りになることはわかっている。
